fn told() -> Option<DoseReminders>

What each device did to remind each dose (sioul_core::dose_reminders), as read here; none when the file cannot be trusted (repaired first, the doses due before then said not known for a day: repair_told). None is never read as “nothing done”: a phone’s alarm then says the doubt.
