(milliseconds) is not followed by its hybrid clock (Switch::next_stamp),
and reads as not pressed yet (read_switch): a garbled stamp, or a clock a
year ahead, never wins for ever (review of part 3, R-8). A clock a few
hours wrong (a time zone set wrong) still works with the others.
