The certificates among bytes (armored or binary, one or several), as a
certificate from outside is read everywhere here (a file, GnuPG, a
server, a message): read as they came, and again with their signatures’
numbers written shortest (minimal_mpis), merged by fingerprint, in the
order they came; so the repair only ever adds, never takes a certificate
