pub const UNUSED_DAYS: i64 = 14;Expand description
A sealed file no record points to any more is removed by its writer after
this long. A device needs a superseded content only between reading the
record that names it and the one that supersedes it, and a device back
after a long time reads both in one exchange and writes the latest: two
weeks is ample. Until 15 October 2026 it was 90 days, and some 25 to 45 MB
of the owner’s folder were replaced contents (docs/database.md, “Old
contents go”). Earlier versions kept by reference stay less long
(history::SEALED_DAYS), and a content used again is made fresh well
within it (FRESH_DAYS). Only once every device of the sharing keeps
them so too (KEEPING, share::unused_days): else UNUSED_DAYS_BEFORE.
